The housing estates of La Joya and Cala Llenya make up the residential area of this bucolic tourist area, located 3 kilometres from Sant Carles de Peralta and 12 from Santa Eulària des Riu. Three touristic establishments offer accommodation in Cala Llenya, where greenery is always in sight, whether in privately landscaped zones or in natural pine forests and bushes. The verdant growth becomes quite thick around the freshwater stream of Can Coix, which flows down to the beach that gives the area its name.
A Family Holiday at Cala Llenya
An idyllic setting for a family holiday, it is an oasis of tranquility that distills the pure essence of the Mediterranean as it overlooks one of Ibiza’s most enchanting coves: Cala Llenya. Framed by red cliffs and stunning scenery, this spacious beach (200 m long and 60 wide), slopes gently into a sandy seabed, making it ideal for small children. Young and old alike can enjoy a range of water sports, such as snorkeling around the outlying rocks or exploring the coastline by kayak or paddleboat.
What to Do in Cala Llenya
In addition to its aquatic and nautical activities, the Cala Llenya area also holds an attractive option for cycling enthusiasts: route nº 5. This circular trail skirts along most of the beaches in the Santa Eulária municipality and also affords inland views of the characteristic Mediterranean landscape native to Ibiza. For those who love flea markets, every Sunday Cala Llenya is the site of a year-round open-air market, a fun opportunity to listen to live music and browse for crafts and souvenirs.
