Dog parks and beaches: special areas for our four-legged friends

Running, jumping, plunging into the water, chasing a ball… Our pets need to have fun just as much as we do. And, in the town centre of Santa Eulària des Riu, they can get their fill by going either to the Cas Capità dog park or to the two designated beach areas set aside for folks who like hanging out in the company of their favourite canine.

Both the residents of Santa Eulària des Riu as well as visitors who travel to Ibiza with their dog will find in the town three areas especially purposed for canine recreation: a dog park and two bathing areas. To enjoy a fun day splashing around at the beach, go to the little cove of Es Faralló, in the Cas Capità area, or to the mouth of the Santa Eulària River where there is a 25-metre-long bathing area known as Punta des Nedadors.

A park to play in until you drop
The municipality’s third recreational area, designed to allow your dog to cavort and stretch his muscles, is the Cas Capità dog park, a fenced ground spanning 1,600 m2, which contains a complete Agility obstacle course. It is the best in-town option for pets to release pent-up energy and play with other dogs. What’s more, if you come to Ibiza on holiday, Santa Eulària has several options for pet-friendly accommodations.

If you go to the beach or park with your dog…
    – take him on a lead until you reach the designated area.
    – pick up his excrement.
    – muzzle him if he is catalogued as a potentially dangerous breed.
    – always keep him in sight during his recreation.
    – carry his valid, in-date veterinary passport and ID card on your person.
