Hippy Market Punta Arabí

Punta Arabí: Ibiza’s largest hippie market

The Punta Arabí Hippie Market opened in 1973, which makes it one of the first of its kind on the island, and hence an important stop on the route that traces out Ibiza’s hippie movement, a trail which also includes the market known as Las Dalias Ibiza, in Sant Carles.

Every Wednesday from April to October, over 500 stalls set out their wares under the pine trees and along the streets of the Punta Arabí complex, located in Es Canar, a stone’s throw from Cala Martina. Thousands of visitors make their way to this quiet enclave in Santa Eulalia, attracted by the wide array of merchandise, which includes craftwork, fashion, jewellery, accessories, natural cosmetics, gastronomic products, musical instruments, leatherwork, décor… It is nigh impossible to leave without finding that special something that will always bring to mind your stay in Ibiza.

A hippie market for all ages

The Punta Arabí Hippie Market makes for a fun family outing in Santa Eulalia, something to keep in mind if you’re travelling with children. Throughout the day, live shows are put on, and amusing activities are organized for children. Moreover, the grounds have areas designed especially for little travellers as well as several restaurants where you can rest, eat, or get refreshment. It all makes for a well-rounded day of fun that you can combine with a splash in the sea at Cala Martina, Es Cana, or Cala Nova, the beaches nearest the market.
