Whether you go as a family or whether you like to brave the surf alone, Santa Eulària’s coastline has the ideal route for you. Open your eyes wide because fish will immediately begin to swim across your field of vision!
Our coast has countless nooks and crannies where you can explore the aquatic envi-ronment thanks to the transparency of our coves, beaches, and other marine en-claves where you can set off on your snorkelling route. There are many options: You can chart your own course; combine your snorkelling activity with a kayaking route along the island’s eastern shore; or follow any of the eight special-interest snorkel-ling routes we recommend for their beauty and/or singularity. It’s all up to you! In any case, not only will you be able to swim with the shimmering shoals of the fish that cluster close to shore, but also explore some of the most beautiful subaquatic landscapes on our coast, including meadows of Posidonia oceanica (aka Mediterra-nean tapeweed), one of our island’s most valued natural resources.

Family Snorkelling Routes
Cala Martina
This 400-metre route links up the fishing huts with Punta d’es Gat. You will swim over a Posidonia meadow and see shoals of porgies, red mullets and seabream.
Cala Nova
A sea path with nooks and crannies that is perfect for children! This route, totalling 680 m, has a low volume of boat traffic and features a gently sloping seafloor. It is also suitable for the advanced level.
Es Figueral
This lovely beach offers snorkelling for all levels. Open your eyes wide and set off in search of octopuses, painted combers, white seabream, peacock wrasse and other marine species.
Es Niu Blau
With its interesting combination of land spits and rock formations, this is another of the snorkelling routes in Santa Eulària that you can enjoy with your children. Guar-anteed fun!
S’Argamassa
A fun route that takes you over a seabed of fractured rock, the perfect haunt for Mediterranean bream, rainbow wrasse and white seabream. You can also see pea-cock wrasse and even mullets camouflaged in the sand.
S’Estanyol
This cove is ideal for families with small children as it has areas that are less than a metre deep. You will undoubtedly spot porgies, sea cucumbers, white seabream and croakers.
Snorkelling Routes for the Advanced Level
Cala Olivera
Because it has a maximum depth of 6 feet, this route is only suitable for experts in freediving. If this is you, don’t miss out! You will enjoy an enchanting underwater realm comprised of two islets and a corniced wall.
Pou des Lleó and Canal d’en Martí
The sheer drop of coastline that runs between these two coves offers one of Santa Eulària’s most beautiful snorkelling routes. In these waters you will find gobies, Med-iterranean rainbow wrasse, bogues, damselfish, etc.
